Linda Russell

Program Supervisor
Linda, the current supervisor for the Kinnelon After School Enrichment
Program, was involved as a teacher when the program was originally begun
by Eileen Gelenter as a Saturday program. She later became an
administrative assistant to Eileen and, when Eileen retired and the
interim supervisor resigned, Linda took the program over to insure that
the work that had touched so many of Kinnelon's residents could continue
with quality educational opportunities. What keeps her involved with
the program? The children, of course! "I love being around the
children and visiting them in the classrooms to see their creativity and
ingenuity!"

New Jersey Childrens Chess School

In 1977, Mr. Geller brought his expertise and love of chess from St. Petersburg, Russia, where he had taught chess to children for 10 years. He pioneered children?s chess education in the United States with the opening of his first school in Manhattan in 1980. In the years to follow he opened schools in Queens and Brooklyn, and in 1986 Mr. Geller founded the New Jersey Children's Chess School. Arkady established the "Geller Kids" Chess Camp in 1992. Arkady has devoted his life to the development of a chess program geared to bring this wonderful game into the lives of New Jerseys children.
From 1980 to the present, "Gellers Kids" have won many state and national championships as well as the US Amateur Chess Team Championships 12 times.

Christopher Miller

My name is Christopher Miller. I am the Head Instructor of Traditional Okinawan Karate Dojo. I have been studying Isshin Ryu Karate for over 20 years and I have been involved in teaching the art for 18 years. I have a degree in Occupational Therapy and Education. In November of 2005, my teacher, Mr. Levitz, gave me permission to start a program in Kinnelon, NJ called Traditional Okinawan Karate. Our program focuses on self discipline, improving focus and providing a positive environment for students to work on achieving their goals.
This takes hard work and good attendance. As an added benefit of the KASE Program, the students enrolled are allowed to come to visit us at Traditional Okinawan Karate (at 155 Kinnelon Road) to further your child's training free of charge during the 9 week program. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (973)-626-1888.
